  • LifeScribe Vault launched — a free, open-source desktop app for encrypted digital legacy planning, available for Windows and macOS.
  • LifeScribe Biography reopened to new sign-ups, now presented alongside Vault as part of the LifeScribe suite.
  • Unified Privacy Policy and Terms of Service covering both the desktop apps and the LifeScribe Biography hosted service.

LifeScribe Biography: Private Beta Launched

  • Platform launched — create a free account to get started.
  • Core content modules available: Life Stories, Timeline, Photo Gallery, Family Tree, Maps & Places.
  • Memorial Mode — graceful site transitions, tribute guestbook, family handoff.
  • GEDCOM family tree import from Ancestry, MyHeritage, FamilySearch, and others.
  • Role-based collaboration — invite family members as Viewers, Editors, or Co-Admins.
  • Private-by-default site visibility with per-section controls.
  • Google, Apple, and Facebook OAuth sign-in alongside email/password.
  • Password reset via email.
